Vegan Smokey Cashew Cream

Depending upon the size of your blender, you may want to double this recipe so there is enough ingredients to completely cover the blender blade, allowing a creamy texture.

Vegan Smokey Cashew Cream
 
Depending upon the size of your blender, you may want to double this recipe so there is enough ingredients to completely cover the blender blade, allowing a creamy texture.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup raw cashew pieces
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch cayenne or crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
  1. Place the cashews in a bowl with ample water to cover. Allow to sit for 20 minutes up to a few hours. Drain and rinse well. Transfer to a blender with the remaining ingredients, including the ½ cup water, and blend until creamy.
